Operation and Delivery Updates in North and South Carolina

Since Hurricane Florence, progress has been made in reopening major highways and roads, like I-95 which is now completely open.  However, there are still hundreds of closed roads, along the coastal areas like southeast North Carolina.

Because there are still a lot of roads closed due to flooding, Merfish United is currently servicing customers to the North, West and South of our Burlington, NC distribution center. We are still waiting for enough progress to be made east of this area, where flooding has been worse, before we resume deliveries.

The Federal Highway Administration and the Department of Transportation announced $14 million in funds to repair infrastructure in North Carolina after Hurricane Florence.  These funds will be used to “restore essential traffic and limit further highway damage”.

We continue to send our best wished to those affected by the hurricane.  If you have any questions regarding service in the hurricane-affected areas, please call your United Pipe representative: 1-800-777-7473
